English actor Veronica Cartwright was only 13 years old at the time she was cast in the role of birthday girl Cathy Brenner who narrowly escapes the clutches of fierce fowl in the tiny city located in Bodega Bay in Alfred Hitchcock's iconic 1963 horror film The Birds. Bonanza was the first Western broadcast in colour. The film told the tale of a fictional ranching family, that of the Cartwrights.
